Our Introduction to Comic Book Coloring course starts September 12, 2016!
Spaces are still available to learn the theory and technique of coloring comics from Chris “Soto” Sotomayor – a veteran colorist, studio head, and instructor. Courses are live online, so you can attend from wherever you live!

We’ve had aspiring colorists take this course, but we’ve also had students who edit, pencil, and write comics. Intro to Coloring can help ALL comic creators add to their own skill set, deepen their understanding of making comics, and communicate more effectively with their collaborators.
3) You’re an artist in another field who wants to learn about color.
If you work in ANY visual medium – painting, film, graphic design, you name it – you need to understand how the use of color affects the viewer’s experience. Soto’s course provides an in-depth look at why and how this works, and how to achieve the effect you want for your audience.

Intro to Coloring will cover essential art concepts like composition, visual storytelling, and how to lead the reader’s eye effectively. When you understand those principles, you’re positioned to navigate the world of comics with greater skill and confidence!

Soto will not only cover Photoshop basics for newcomers, he’ll give more experienced users helpful tips and tricks to help increase productivity. Setting up your desktop, choosing the best tools for your piece, and helpful keyboard shortcuts are all covered here.
