Looking to bring your coloring skills up a level or two? This is the course for you!
Beginning Monday, September 7, 2015, our Advanced Comic Book Coloring course with Chris Sotomayor builds on the foundation of our Introduction to Comic Book Coloring course. You’ve been given the keys to the car – now you get to take it for a joy ride!
In Advanced Coloring, you’ll gain practice and build confidence in basic techniques – all while developing new tools to help you work more efficiently, find your own style, and give your work professional polish!
Instructor Chris “Soto” Sotomayor is a long-time CE faculty member whose supportive guidance has helped dozens of students launch their coloring work. Besides having colored many of the major properties at Marvel and DC, Soto also owns and operates SotoColor studio, which develops and assigns work to other top industry colorists.
Get to know our instructor more by checking out his bio page and this interview!
If you’ve completed the Intro course, then you’re ready for Advanced – even if you’re still working on some of the basics. Students’ experience varies, and we keep course sizes small enough to help each student according to his or her own needs!
Plus, we’ll provide more of what you valued in the Intro course – more professionally-drawn samples to work from, more career development advice, and more support from a community of like-minded artists!
Don’t wait – Advanced Coloring starts September 7, 2015. Enroll now at our course page, and join us for this fun, informative class!
If you want to make comics, write, draw, letter, and color comics, or improve as a comics creator, you’ll find like-minded friends and colleagues in our online workshops and courses. We hope to see you there!
