The comic mini-series Tet, written by Comics Experience alum Paul Allor and published by Comics Experience with IDW, will make its debut in comic shops everywhere on September 9, 2015!
Eugene Smith is desperate to leave Vietnam behind, and begin a new life with the woman he loves. But when a fellow Marine is brutally murdered, Eugene’s plans are thrown away, forever. All’s fair in love and war, right? Writer Paul Allor and artist Paul Tucker present an extraordinary, heartfelt story of hard-boiled crime and star-crossed romance, set at the height of the Vietnam War and the decades that followed.
Advance reviews have praised Tet with comments like these:
“Allor’s script draws you in with rich characters and excellent dialogue, while Tucker’s art renders every detail of the period with stylized precision.” (- Frank Barbiere)
Tet will be the third mini-series title released under the Comics Experience/IDW partnership. The first two, Creature Cops and Drones, debuted in January and April, respectively.
Paul Allor developed Tet with artist Paul Tucker, who created the interior art as well as the covers. Paul Allor, who also lettered the series, workshopped each of the four scripts on the Comics Experience Creators Workshop, our online community for comic creators. There, he and fellow members discussed details on the project’s development, ranging from historical and cultural accuracy, to lettering and cover design. The feedback helped shape the work into the final product you’ll see on shelves!
