This June 17-19, Comics Experience’s Andy Schmidt and Robert Atkins will be tabling, reviewing portfolios, and participating in panels at Denver Comic Con 2016 (#DCC2016)!
Andy Schmidt will have a table in Artist Alley, where he’ll be available to advise newcomer creators on how to develop their work, “break in” to comics, and achieve their creative goals! Andy is the founder of Comics Experience, and instructs courses including our popular Introduction to Comic Book Writing and Advanced Comic Book Writing. He’s a writer for comics and video games, and a former editor at Marvel and IDW. Learn more about his background here!
You can find Robert Atkins in Artist Alley as well. Robert has taught numerous Comics Experience art courses, including Introduction to Comic Book Art, Introduction to Figure Drawing and Anatomy, and more! Robert’s background includes penciling the art for G.I. Joe comics, Amazing Spider-Man, and All-New Savage She-Hulk. He also has extensive experience doing commercial art, toy packaging, and game design! You can find Robert’s full bio here.
If you’re visiting Denver Comic Con, stop by and visit Robert and Andy in person. They’ll be happy to talk with you more about their work and yours, discuss the courses they teach, and suggest other resources that can help you reach your goals for making comics!
Comics Experience staffers will be visiting various conventions throughout the season. Stay tuned to our blog, Facebook page and Twitter account for ongoing details!
If you want to make comics, write, draw, letter, and color comics, or improve as a comics creator, you’ll find like-minded friends and colleagues in our online workshops and courses. We hope to see you there!
