The Collaboration Corner is Now Open!

Creators Workshop’s main goals all revolve around assisting comics industry newcomers with anything and everything they need to transfer their creative dreams into reality. That’s why we’re enthused to let everyone know that we’ve launched the Collaboration Corner forum, accessible to all Creators Workshop participants!

We understand how finding the perfect partners for a strip, story, one-shot, mini, or full series can be a difficult task, even for the most experienced comic book veterans. The Collaboration Corner is open to members looking for artists, writers, inkers, colorists, letterers, editors, designers, and anyone else they might need to get the job done and done right. Post up your portfolio and people know you’re looking for exciting new projects, or let you fellow Creators Workshoppers know that you’ve got an awesome new opportunity they might be interested in considering. Keep in mind, however, that posts will only be up for 60 days so that the board remains current.

Make sure to read CEO Andy Schmidt’s introductory thread before posting. It not only outlines how to best take part in Collaboration Corner and up your chances of working with fantastic talent, but it also provides some handy advice about the different types of partnerships. Work for hire, creator-owned, and other dynamics are all outlined to help you – and your potential teammates – make the ideal choices for your projects. There’s also some candid advice about strong communication and group goal-setting well worth reading regardless of whether or not you’re in the market for new collaborators.

See you there!
