Intro to Comic Book Writing Starts 11/4/15 – Last Chance This Year!

Andy SchmidtOur most in-demand course — Introduction to Comic Book Writing — starts November 4, 2015, and will not be offered again this year! This is the course that launched Comics Experience back when Andy Schmidt started the company in 2007, and every single session has sold out since then!

Intro to Comic Book Writing is a six-week intensive course that gives writers the tools they need to craft stories in the comics medium. In this course, you’ll:

  • Gain practical knowledge like how to format scripts, create panel descriptions, and work with artists.
  • Develop storytelling skills to construct engaging, visual plots that attract readers.
  • Learn professional tips about building a career in the comics industry.

This is the foundation for your comics career, and you won’t get it anywhere else!

Comics writer Nick Spencer (Morning Glories, Bedlam, Superior Foes of Spider-Man) got his start in this course (see his guest blog post here). So did alum Paul Allor, whose new release, TET, is getting serious buzz. Top Cow Talent Hunt winners Kenny Porter and Devon Wong are also alums, along with countless others now making self-published and publisher-backed comics.
