We’re beginning our next set of Advanced Art courses, taught by student favorite Robert Atkins!
Beginning September 24, Robert will lead advanced students in Advanced Comic Book Art: Professional Penciling Techniques. This course, designed for those who’ve completed Introduction to Comic Book Art, will introduce students to higher-level practices that the pros use, but are rarely discussed in portfolio reviews and general interest courses.
With such a short time left until the start date, we’re encouraging all our Intro to Art alums to check out the course description now and register before it sells out!
Our Advanced Comic Book Art courses give Robert time with each individual student. As he explains it,
“This is simply the most in depth and cost effective way to have a personal and professional comics mentor […] EVERYTHING we teach in these courses is the kind of material you will rarely, if ever, get in a convention critique. On top of that, instead of 5-30 minutes of instruction you’re getting a combined 20 hours of instruction of the highest level concepts in storytelling and penciling.”
Next in our lineup of Advanced Art courses is the Storytelling Master Class, beginning in November. Visit the course page for all the details!
Students can take either or both of the Advanced courses, and Intro to Art is the only prerequisite!
To learn about any of our courses — including Introduction to Webcomics, beginning this week — visit the Courses section of our site!
If you want to make comics, write, draw, letter, and color comics, or improve as a comics creator, you’ll find like-minded friends and colleagues in our online workshops and courses. We hope to see you there!
