As announced during SDCC 2013, Paul Allor will be writing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro-Series featuring Shredder, the fan-favorite villain! Paul has previously written the TMNT: Fugitoid Micro-Series. Each issue of the Micro-Series spotlights another character in the TMNT universe.
Paul is a Comics Experience alum, Creators Workshop member, and on staff at Comics Experience as the CE Book Club Manager. Paul also offers pro script critiques on the Workshop as well as answering questions in a lively Q&A thread.
The Shredder Micro-Series issue will feature artwork by Dan Duncan. TMNT Editor (and CE alum!) Bobby Curnow released Dan’s line-art for the retailer incentive cover at the SDCC TMNT panel. According to an article on the panel from Comic Vine, Bobby described the issue as “a spiritual journey inside Shredder’s mind, and an issue which will offer trippy visuals.”
The Shredder issue will be solicited for pre-order by comic shops in the September Diamond Previews catalog and is expected in stores in November 2013.
Paul Allor is also the author of the Clockwork anthology, which featured artwork by Comics Experience art alums and workshop members Ken Frederick and Carl Peterson, alongside well-known artists including JM Ken Niimura (I Kill Giants), Brett Weldele (Surrogates) and Nikki Cook (Memoir). He is also the writer of the critically-acclaimed Orc Girl, published by Challenger Comics.
In addition, Paul works as a comics editor on upcoming or released projects such as Image Comics’ Sheltered, Big Dog Ink’s Rex, Zombie Killer, and other creator-owned titles.
Congratulations to Paul on another exciting opportunity with IDW!
