Comics Experience’s Digital Content Editor Pete Rogers has a new one-shot up on comiXology! The Lament of Lady Mary, available via Batten Press’ Unseen Shadows anthology, features writing by Pete, art and letters by Conor Boyle, and coloring by Jo McLelland.

This action-packed journey marks Pete’s second single issue with the publisher, following Fragments of Fate.

“I’m excited to see what the reaction to the story is,” he says. “It was great to work on something set just after The Crusades with a talented artist like Conor Boyle and to explore another part of the Unseen Shadows universe.”

And the talented individuals and teams participating in the Creators Workshop helped shape his dramatic new offering.

“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt from the Creators Workshop is how to take notes from my peers. Other members of the workshop and professional creators will give critiques of your scripts, which really helps you hone your craft,” he says.

“I worked closely with Barry Nugent, my editor and also the original creator of the Unseen Shadows universe through his novel Fallen Heroes. I took on board his observations and recommendations with the same attitude I did with the workshop critiques I received, knowing we were both intent on making the script as good as possible.”
