Bon Alimagno joins Comics Experience after a long career project managing and developing creative talents in comics publishing and the tech industry.
Alimagno was Editor-in-Chief of Harris Comics where he published stories written by Mike Carey, Josh Fialkov and Phil Hester. In 2009, he joined Marvel Comics as its Talent Coordinator working closely with Marvel’s colorists and inkers, and acting as a de facto Managing Editor. He worked with CB Cebulski and Marvel’s talent management team on recruiting and developing “young gun” caliber artists such as Dave Marquez, who have since drawn prominent titles at Marvel, DC and elsewhere.
Alimagno returns to comics after eight years in design operations and UX program management in the tech industry. In 2011, he joined the University of Phoenix as a Senior Operations Manager for their learning platform design team. For the past five and a half years, Alimagno served as Senior UX Producer for Amazon.com’s retail experience design team. He left Amazon in August to launch a design consultancy, to build services for driving hobby shop pre-ordering, and to find other ways to contribute back to the comic book industry including joining Comics Experience.
