CE Alum Devon Wong’s TOP COW TALENT HUNT Issue Published!

CE Alum and Creators Workshop Member Devon Wong was a winner in the 2013 Top Cow Talent Hunt – marking the second consecutive year that a CE community member has won this competition! Devon’s winning story is set to hit comic book shops next week, and a 6-page preview is now available here on Comic Book Resources.

Artifacts38-covA-social-2268aArtifacts #38 features Devon’s story, “Through A Glass, Darkly,” which is set in 1671 Mexico. The art is by fellow Talent Hunt winner Isaac Goodhart, with color by Eddy Swan, lettering by Troy Peteri, and a cover by Stjepan Sejic.

The issue will be on sale in comic shops beginning on August 20, and available digitally on Comixology.

Devon is a copy editor and writer from Toronto. His previous comics work has been self-published in print and online; Artifacts #38 will be his first work for a major publisher. Devon is a member of the CE Creators Workshop, and an alum of our Intro and Advanced Writing courses.

Devon joins the ranks of fellow CE community member Ken Porter, who was among the 2012 Top Cow Talent Hunt winners. Ken’s winning story, “The Teacher and the Preacher,” appeared in Artifacts #33, available here.
